Some Pictures from the Past...
This picture is from 1978, taken at the Woodland Fire Company, Cherry Hill, NJ. I am standing between 1317 (on Left) and 1318 (on Right). Notice that 1318 still sports a Federal Q2B Mechanical Siren!

This picture was taken at a demonstration at the Cherry Hill Mall by the Cherry Hill Emergency Squad in 1981. Notice that the old Caddies had been replaced with our first modulances by this time. Pictured are: Andrea Greenberg, EMT (victim), Hank Z. Cutler, EMT (standing in the middle) and me.

A close-up shot of Hank and me securing Andrea's ankle.

A picture of the "new" 1316-- one of four ambulances purchased by the Township of Cherry Hill to replace the old Caddies. Two were assigned to the Cherry Hill Emergency Squad; the other two were assigned to the Ashalnd Ambulance Squad that covered the eastern portion of the Township. This picture was taken December 26, 1979.
Back in my early days with Eastchester (NY) Volunteer Ambulance Corps standing in front of "Car 61". Pictured (L-R) are me, Mark Belserene, Ed Shourek and Bob Smith. This was taken in 1979 in front of the old Emergency Room of Lawrence Hospital, Bronxville, NY.

This is the "new Car 61" purchased by Eastchester VAC in 1981. About a year later this rig was stolen while the crew was attending to a patient and subsequently involved in a fatal MVC with the perpetrator behind the wheel.

Before the days of PCRs! This was an official call report for Cherry Hill. The back is below:

This was back in the day when we would think nothing about putting several patients in serious condition in the back of the same ambulance.
Eastchester's form was even more simple:

The form before this one actually had a place where you could record a "tip." I wonder if anyone ever reported one

This was my treasured "first" EMT card, earned in April, 1978 at Camden County College, Blackwood, NJ, Class 18-B-4. Later that year I received my first New York State card as well through reciprocity.

An action shot at Corey Beach, Blue Point, NY (Patchogue Ambulance's District) in 1990.

One of the jobs I was on in Patchogue in 1991. The sleeve on the jumpsuit (left side of the pic) is mine.
